Rareina Farm

Rareina Farm is over at Senthil Nagar, on 11th Cross Street. To be honest, it’s a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. 1/86 M is our spot. Working with plants and land is different from being in a high-rise office. Your hands get dirty and you have to watch the sky more than the clock. We spend most of our time out there checking on things, making sure the soil is right and the water is hitting where it should. It’s not always pretty. Sometimes things don't grow right or the weather messes with our plans. But that’s farming. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around. We just want to grow things properly. When people come by the farm, they see us in our work clothes. There’s no front desk or formal lobby here. Just the plants and the equipment. We started this because we liked being outside and doing something real. The 11th Cross Street can be quiet in the mornings, which is when we get most of our planting done. It’s hard to imagine being anywhere else once you get used to the rhythm of the seasons. We aren't doing this to get rich, it’s more about the satisfaction of seeing things grow from nothing. Senthil Nagar is a good community, and we've got some regulars who stop by just to see what’s new. It can be a lot of physical labor, but we’re used to it.
