We are tucked away at 41/1 on Armenian Street. It’s a narrow street and things can get tight when we are loading up the steel. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while. The walls are a bit stained from the years of work, but they’ve seen a lot of steel go through these doors. Most of us here have callouses on our hands from moving heavy pipes and sheets. We don't use fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are still on paper clipped to the walls. It works for us. The noise of metal hitting metal is something you get used to after the first week. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to get the orders right. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the street traffic, which can be frustrating. But we just deal with it. Our neighbors are mostly other small shops, so we all know each other. We don't have a website with flashy photos. What you see when you walk in is exactly what we are. Just some guys working with steel on a busy street. It’s hot in the afternoons, so we take turns getting water from the cooler. That’s about as exciting as it gets here. We take pride in just getting the job done without making a big fuss about things. It's tough work but it's what we do.
