Raja Steel

Raja Steel is just a place where we work with metal stuff at 85 South Perumal Maistry Street. It’s a busy spot in South Gate and the street gets crowded with lorries and people picking up supplies most mornings. Sometimes the dust is a bit much. We spend most of our day handling various steel items for local builders. It isn't fancy here. There's a desk with some old ledgers and a lot of heavy stock sitting in the back. If you come by South Gate, you'll see us there. We keep regular hours, mostly. People know us for just being around. We don't do big ads or anything like that. The sign outside is a bit faded but it still says Raja Steel clearly enough. Lately, the traffic on South Perumal Maistry Street has gotten worse, making deliveries a bit of a headache for the drivers. We just deal with it. It’s a simple setup. Not much to look at, just a workspace where we get the daily job done. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a chat when things are slow. We’ve seen the area change over the years. New buildings are going up and old shops are closing down. We stay the same, mostly. Just keep moving the steel and making sure the counts are right. It’s hard work, getting your hands dirty and all that. But it's what we do. We don't have a website. Just the shop on the street.
