Raj Steel Traders

Our shop, Raj Steel Traders, is located at Old 75, New 151, Broadway. It’s one of those old buildings that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit creaky. Being on Broadway means there’s never a dull moment. There’s always someone walking by or a car honking outside. We deal in steel trading, so our day is mostly about numbers and moving stock. It can get pretty cramped inside when a new shipment arrives. We have to move things around just to make a path to the back. It’s not a polished corporate office. There are stacks of paper on the desks and the smell of metal is everywhere. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise from the street anymore. My cousin helps out some days, and we usually eat lunch right at the counter. It’s a local business through and through. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. People just know we’re the place on Broadway with the steel. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we just wait it out. It gives us a chance to catch our breath. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up the shutters at night. There isn't much more to it than that, really. Just us and the steel.
