Raaj Stainless Steel

Raaj Stainless Steel is over at 43 Raghunayakulu Street in Park Town. If you know Park Town, you know it’s a hub for all sorts of metal and hardware. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We mostly have stainless steel, which is a bit different from the regular iron shops around here. We’ve got all sorts of pipes, sheets, and fittings squeezed into our space. It’s a tight fit, and sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one, but we know where everything is. The street is narrow, so loading up a truck can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We’ve been operating from this address for years and have built up a bit of a routine. My brother and I usually handle the customers while a couple of helpers manage the heavier stuff in the back. It’s a lot of manual work and checking measurements twice to make sure nobody goes home with the wrong piece. We don’t really do marketing; people just know we are on Raghunayakulu Street when they need stainless. It’s a noisy, busy place to work, but it feels good to be part of the local trade. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, one day at a time, without any corporate nonsense. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and keep moving. Most folks who come by are regulars.
