Up on the sixth floor of the Brooklyn Business Center on Poonamallee High Road, you can find our team. Puwadaa Designs and Developers Private Limited is right in the middle of all the noise and traffic of Chennai. Being up that high gives us a bit of a view, but mostly we are looking at computer screens or design sketches on the desks. We do a mix of design work and actual development. It’s a lot of back and forth between the drawing board and the actual construction site. The elevators in this building are sometimes slow so we spend a lot of time waiting around and talking shop. Our office is usually filled with the sound of people talking over the phone and the hum of the air conditioner. We handle a lot of different tasks, from the initial designs to the final walkthroughs of a project. It’s a lot of responsibility but we’ve been doing it long enough that we have a rhythm now. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city, we just want to do projects that we aren't ashamed of. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on the details and try to keep the costs from spiraling out of control for everyone involved. It’s a busy life.
