Our office is over at No. 28 on 1st Link Road in Thiruvallur Nagar. It’s a pretty easy place to find once you get into the neighborhood. The road is usually busy with people heading to work or running errands. We’ve been in this building for some time now. It’s got a bit of character, meaning the windows rattle when a heavy truck goes by, and the floor has some scuffs from all the boots coming in and out. We don’t spend much on decorating because we’re mostly focused on the work at hand. There are a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a table where we usually eat our lunch together. It’s a small group of us here, so we all know each other’s business. We don’t really go in for big meetings with presentations. Most things get decided over a quick talk by the water dispenser. Thiruvallur Nagar is a good area, feels like a real part of the city where people actually live and work. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to make room for new equipment or just to change things up. It’s a practical space. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door just gets up and opens it. That’s just how we run things. It gets a little dusty because of the road, but we sweep every morning.
