We’ve been here at 62 Ashok Avenue for a good while now. It’s a quiet enough spot on First Main Road in Periyar Nagar, though the mornings can get a bit hectic when everyone is trying to park. Most days, we’re just busy sorting through the different product lists and making sure things get where they need to go. Precision Products Marketing sounds like a big mouthful of a name, but really it’s just a few of us here handling the marketing side of things. We have a lot of catalogs piled up on the desks and the phone rings more than you’d expect for a small office. My desk is right by the window so I see people walking their dogs and the delivery trucks pulling up. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, which is a pain, but we manage. We aren’t doing anything fancy here, just moving items and talking to people on the phone about what they need for their own shops. It gets dusty pretty fast with the door open, so someone is usually sweeping. It’s a straightforward job. We know the neighbors, like the guy who runs the corner shop, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this part of Periyar Nagar. It’s not a shiny corporate office, just a place with a lot of boxes and a coffee machine that we have to kick sometimes to get it to work right. We’ve been at it for years.
