Our office is located at what used to be Old No. 120/1, but now it’s New No. 16 on the second floor of G-Block, 9th Street in Anna Nagar East. The numbering can be a bit confusing for people who haven't visited us before. Alaska Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. isn't in a big glass tower; we are in a converted residential building. It’s a nice enough street with some trees and a bit of shade. Most of the day, we are hunched over drawings or checking calculations on our laptops. It’s quiet work for the most part, except when we’re debating a design choice or fixing a mistake in a blueprint. The office has that smell of old paper and coffee. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants and a couple of chairs for when we need a break from the screen. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic, which is fine by us. Usually, it’s just us and the occasional courier. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, with more shops popping up, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We handle a variety of engineering tasks, some more interesting than others. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do for a living. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the way we run the office. We usually wrap things up by six and head home.
