Having a dairy farm presence here is a bit of a challenge because of all the traffic and the people, but we make it work. We are based out of 38/ Mf4, and it’s a constant hub of activity. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around or having long meetings. Our work is mostly about the early morning hours and making sure the milk gets to where it needs to go. It is a lot of heavy lifting and cleaning. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the animals are okay and the work gets finished every single day. The heat in Thousand Lights can be brutal in the middle of the day, so we try to get the most important stuff done while it’s still relatively cool. It’s a plain and simple business. We don't have a big staff of people in offices. We’re usually just out there in our work boots, doing what needs to be done. It’s a lot of work, and it’s often messy, but it’s what we know how to do best after all these years of being here.
