Down in Bodinayakkanur, you can find us at Bodi Sms Fisheries And Animal Husbandry. We are tucked away at 5/1 in Ward 14, right on Muthpandi Lane in the Thirumalpuram area of JK Patti. It’s a busy little spot where we manage both fish and some livestock. Having both means there is never a dull moment or a day off. One minute we are checking the water levels in the tanks and the next we are dealing with the feed for the animals. The lane can get a bit tight when we have deliveries coming in, but we make it work. We are just local people who have lived in Bodi for years. Most of our staff grew up right around the corner. We don't go in for anything polished or corporate. Our office is just a small room with a fan and some old files. We spend most of our time outside anyway. The heat here in JK Patti can be tough on the animals, so we have to stay on top of things. We just try to do right by the animals and the people who buy from us. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying bags of feed and hauling nets. Sometimes things break and we have to fix them ourselves. We don't complain much, we just get on with it.
