J P Group Of Farms

The J P Group Of Farms is based right here in Arakonnam. We do not really have a fancy office building with a big neon sign or anything like that. Our work is more about the different patches of land we manage around this area. We have been doing this for many years, growing various things depending on what the soil and the season are doing at the time. It is not always an easy way to make a living. Some years the monsoon rains do not come when they are supposed to, and we just have to figure out a way to keep things growing. We have a few different plots of land that we look after, which keeps us moving from one place to another throughout the week. We do not use any corporate jargon or big words. We just talk about things like crop yield and weather patterns. Most of the people who work with us are from right here in the Arakonnam area. We have known many of them for a very long time. Our tractors and equipment are older, but they get the job done if you take the time to maintain them properly. You will usually find us out in the fields rather than sitting in a chair behind a desk. It is a quiet enough place for this kind of work, away from the big city noise. We are not trying to change how the world works; we just want a good harvest and to keep the farm running.
