We are set up at No.39 Shankar Ngr, on 2Nd St, in the Chmt area of Chennai, towards Kancheepuram. Elelo Fishbook Hyper Market Private Limited is the full name of the shop. It is basically a place where we sell fish and other market goods. Being in Chennai, it's always busy and noisy around here. We get our stock in very early when the sun is just coming up. The "Hyper Market" part sounds big, but we are just a local store for the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time cleaning ice and laying out the catch of the day. The floors are usually wet, and it smells like the ocean. Customers come in looking for something fresh for their dinner. We have a few staff members who know how to clean the fish quickly. It's a fast-paced environment, especially on the weekends. Shankar Nagar is a residential area, so we know many of our regulars by name. We don't do much in the way of marketing. We just put the fish out and people come. Sometimes we have other groceries too, but the fish is the main thing. It's hard work being on your feet all day in a cold, wet shop. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the scales are working right. It is a practical business for a busy part of town. We just stay focused on moving the stock while it is still good.
