PRAMODHAN INDUSTRIES

Our place, PRAMODHAN INDUSTRIES, is over at No75 Tg Anna Nagar on the Ayapakkam Main Road. Being in Ambattur, we are right in the middle of a lot of industrial activity. It’s always noisy with the sounds of Chennai traffic and the other workshops nearby. The building itself is pretty simple and we use every bit of space we have for the machines. Most days we are just busy with the manufacturing stuff, making sure the orders are moving along. It gets hot in the afternoon, but we just keep the fans going and stay at it. The road outside is usually packed with bikes and lorries, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting things in and out. We aren't really into big corporate meetings or anything like that. We mostly just talk about the work that needs to be done today and who is handling which machine. Some of us have been working in this area for years, so we’ve seen how much Ambattur has grown over time. It’s a lot more crowded than it used to be, that’s for sure. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to stay organized, even if the floor gets a bit messy with metal scraps and oil. It’s a practical environment for people who don’t mind a bit of hard work and some grease on their clothes. That’s just life at the shop.
