Practising Chartered Accountant

We've been at the Srinivasa Apartments on Srinivasa Avenue for a good while now. It’s a quiet spot in Raja Annamalaipuram, just a standard apartment setup where we handle the tax papers and audit work that comes in. Most people around here know the building, it's number 27. I usually get in early before the Chennai traffic gets too heavy. My desk is often covered in folders and ledger books. It’s just me and a couple of helpers doing the filing and keeping track of the deadlines. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a couple of chairs for people who drop by with their documents. Sometimes the power goes out, or the printer acts up, but we get the work done. Dealing with the tax department takes up a lot of our time, honestly. It’s a lot of back and forth with the forms and making sure the numbers line up right. People come by when they’re worried about their returns or need something signed off for their business. We just sit down, look at the papers, and see what needs doing. It’s not a flashy job, just steady work in a familiar part of the city. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the office stays pretty much the same.
