Pooja Cranes

Our place is at 87A Gandhi Main Road in Ganapathy Nagar, over in the Oragadam area of Ambattur. We deal with cranes, which as you can imagine, take up a lot of room. There’s always some sort of heavy machinery sitting in the yard. We do a lot of maintenance and repair work on these big machines. It’s a greasy job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We’ve been in Ambattur for years because it’s a good central spot for the kind of work we do. People around here know us as the crane guys. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us working on an engine or a hydraulic system. It’s noisy and there’s always the smell of oil in the air, but we like it. We aren't big on speeches or sales pitches. If a crane is broken, we fix it. If someone needs one for a job, we talk about the specs. It’s basic, honest work. Sometimes the sun is really hot out in the yard, but the work has to get done. We’ve seen all sorts of equipment come through here over the years. We just keep our heads down and focus on the mechanical side of things. It's a lot of heavy lifting, but someone's got to do it to keep things moving.
