You can find us on the 3rd floor at 56/57 Rajaji Salai. If you have ever been down this way in Chennai, you know how busy the road can get with all the trucks and the port traffic nearby. It’s a noisy, active area, and our office fits right into that. We are on the third floor, so we are a little bit removed from the dust of the street, but you can still hear the horns honking all day long. The office is quite basic. We have some desks, a few computers, and a corner where we keep all the files that seem to multiply every week. It’s a shipping office, so things are always a bit hurried. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you; you just walk in and talk to whoever is available at their desk. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the Rajaji Salai area like the back of our hands. We usually grab lunch from one of the small shops nearby or bring tiffins from home. It’s a real working-class vibe here. We don’t really care for fancy titles or corporate talk. We just want to make sure the containers and papers are where they need to be. It’s honest work in a busy part of town. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure everything is moving on time, and that keeps us busy enough throughout the day.
