Bala Water Treaters

Down on 14th Street in Nehru Colony, you'll find us at number 4. We are in the Pazhavanthangal area, which is a busy little pocket. Our work is all about water treatment, so our space is often filled with filters, pipes, and various testing kits. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and we often have wet floors or bits of PVC pipe lying around. We’ve been here for several years now, and the neighbors are used to seeing our van loaded up with tanks and equipment. The street is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a puzzle every morning. We start our day early, checking the list of houses or businesses that need their systems looked at. It’s mostly practical work, solving problems with water quality or fixing leaks that won't stop. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs; it’s more of a garage feel where things get done. There’s a small tea shop at the end of the road where we usually take our breaks. Sometimes we sit there and talk about the traffic or how the weather is changing. We’re just regular people trying to do a decent job with the skills we have. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying heavy parts and working in cramped spaces, but we’re used to it by now. The fan in the corner rattles a bit, but it keeps the air moving while we work.
