Energy Equipment

Energy Equipment is over at No. 34 Galaxy Road in Ayanambakkam. We’ve been here a while now. The shop isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done. Mostly, we spend our days dealing with various bits of machinery and parts that people need. It gets pretty dusty out here on Galaxy Road, especially with all the traffic coming through Ayanambakkam lately. My desk is usually covered in papers and some coffee rings. We start early most mornings because the heat gets a bit much by the afternoon. It’s a small team, just a few of us really, and we know most of the regulars who stop by. Sometimes the phone doesn’t stop ringing, and other days it is quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything like that. If someone comes in, we talk to them across the counter. Usually, someone is in the back looking for a specific bolt or a valve while the rest of us handle the paperwork. It’s just how things go here. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first moved into number thirty-four, but we’re still doing the same basic work. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy. Most people find us because they’re passing by or someone told them we have what they need. We just keep the doors open and get on with it.
