We are located at No.393-B on the second floor. It’s on Thiruvalluvar Salai in the Paneer Nagar part of Mogappair. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, it’s a different world from the busy street below. Thiruvalluvar Salai is always packed with traffic and the sound of horns, but we’ve set up our gardening business up here nonetheless. We have pots and soil and various plants scattered around the space. It’s not the most traditional spot for a garden shop, being on the second floor, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time watering things and checking for pests. There’s always a bag of compost open somewhere, and the floor usually has a bit of dirt on it. We aren't a big corporate nursery. It’s just a few of us who like plants and help people figure out what will grow on their balconies or in their small yards. Mogappair has a lot of people looking to add some green to their homes. We don't use any fancy sales pitches or glossy brochures. We just show people what we have and tell them how to keep it alive. Sometimes we’re out on sites helping with layouts, so the shop might be quiet for a few hours. It’s a messy, hands-on job and we wouldn't want it any other way. The climb up to the second floor keeps us fit and the plants happy.
