We are set up at No:1/4 in the Apparao Apartment building. You will find us on 12th Street in Venus Colony. It is a quiet residential area mostly, which is a bit different for a tamarind business, but it works for us. Oms Tamarind Merchant has been around for a while now. We deal with a lot of stock, so the apartment space gets a bit cramped sometimes with all the paperwork and samples lying around. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to suppliers about the latest crops. It is not the kind of place with a big lobby or a receptionist at the front. You just walk in and you will likely see one of us at a desk covered in notes and files. We focus on getting the quality of the product right every time. Tamarind can be tricky depending on the season, so we have to be very careful with what we buy. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us in Venus Colony. We have been on 12th Street long enough that the neighbors do not mind the occasional delivery truck coming through. It is a steady business and we like the routine of it. We are not looking to take over the world; we just want to provide good tamarind to the folks who need it.
