Om Computer & Stationers

We are at No. 8/2, which used to be Old No. 7, on State Bank Street. This is right in the 1st Line area of Mount Road, so it’s a very central spot. Om Computer & Stationers is a small shop packed with all sorts of things. We have paper, pens, and computer parts squeezed into every corner. It’s a bit of a tight fit when we have more than two people inside. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for everyone. We’ve been here for years, through all the changes on Mount Road. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a busy place because of the banks and offices nearby. People are always coming in for a quick pen or a cable for their computer. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by. The lights inside are a bit dim, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Sometimes we sit on the small stools outside when the shop gets too stuffy and watch the crowds. It’s a modest way to earn a living, and we enjoy seeing the regulars who come in every week. Mount Road is always rushing, but in our little shop on State Bank Street, things feel a bit more grounded and quiet.
