Gk Computers is situated at No. 20/14 over in Andavar Nagar 3rd Street. If you know Kodambakkam, you know how these narrow streets can be during the rush hour. We have a small shop here where we spend most of our time staring at screens and fixing computer parts. It is the kind of place where there are always a few keyboards lying around and some half-finished projects sitting on the benches. We moved into this spot because it is quiet enough to concentrate but still close to the main parts of town. Most of the folks who come in are from the nearby apartments or students who need their machines looked at for school. It can get a bit messy with all the wires and spare components everywhere, but we usually know where everything is. The afternoon sun hits the front window quite hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to keep the heat out. We don't really do much in the way of big advertising, mostly it is just people telling their neighbors about us. It is a simple setup on 3rd Street and we like it that way. Sometimes we stay late when a job is tougher than it looked at first. Kodambakkam has a lot of energy, and being tucked away in Andavar Nagar gives us a good balance. We just handle the repairs and the sales as they come in, one day at a time without too much fuss or trouble.
