Hunch Computers

Hunch Computers is located over in Mylapore, specifically at Number 10 on Ponniamman Koil Street. It is a handy spot because we are right opposite Malar Hospital, so there is always a lot of movement outside. The street gets quite narrow and crowded with bikes, but we manage. Inside the shop, it is mostly what you would expect from a place that deals with tech. There are shelves with old boxes and pieces of hardware that we use for spares. It’s not a large space, so we have to be careful where we step. We spend most of our hours sitting at the back bench with a screwdriver in hand. It can get a bit messy when we have five or six laptops open at the same time. The air conditioning works okay, but sometimes the heat from the machines makes it feel stuffy. We aren't trying to be some high-end retail store with glass walls. It is just a place where work gets done. People from the hospital or the nearby houses come in when their screens go dark or they need a new cable. We’ve got a routine here that works for us. Usually, there is a cup of tea sitting somewhere near a keyboard. It’s a plain, honest shop and we like being part of the Mylapore community. We just stay busy with whatever comes through the door.
