Computer Planet

Computer Planet is situated at number 10 on Mount Road, right near the big Bata showroom signal. If you know that intersection, you know how busy it gets. The constant sound of traffic and horns is just part of our daily background music. We have a decent-sized shop here, but it always feels small because of how many monitors and printers are stacked up. We’ve been at this Mount Road location for years, and we’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our front window. Most of the people who come in are in a hurry because they are on their way somewhere else. They drop off a laptop that won't charge or a tablet with a cracked screen and hope we can have it ready by the time they head home. We do our best, but sometimes parts take time to arrive. Our workbenches are usually cluttered with screwdrivers and thermal paste. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city; we just want to do right by the people who stop in at the signal. It’s a lot of manual work, squinting at small chips and cleaning out cooling fans. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. There is always someone looking for help with their electronics.
