Oceanic Engineering

Our shop is at Plot No.8/20, specifically Shop No-F2 on Tulika Peer Street. We are over in the Theeran Alathur area. It’s an interesting spot because we are near the August Insurance Coir place. Oceanic Engineering isn't a massive factory; it’s more of a focused workshop where we take care of specific engineering jobs. The street is a bit narrow and can get cluttered with deliveries. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or looking over technical drawings. The shop is filled with the smell of oil and metal. It’s a small space, so we have to be really organized to make sure we can move around. We have a couple of heavy machines that take up most of the floor. When they are running, you have to shout to be heard. We don't have any fancy carpets or air-conditioned waiting rooms. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our work clothes with grease on our hands. The neighborhood is full of small shops and workshops like ours. We all know each other and share the same local news. The weather in Alathur can be tough, but we have a couple of big fans that keep the air moving. We start our day early before the sun gets too high. It’s just a basic engineering shop where we try to get things right the first time. We don't talk much, we just focus on the metal work.
