Nittand Casting Works

Our office is on the 2nd floor of New 23 on Nelson Manickam Road in Aminjikarai. It’s a busy area, so there’s always the sound of horns and buses down below throughout the day. Getting up to the second floor is a bit of a climb if you do it multiple times a day, but you get used to it. Nittand Casting Works has been here for a while, even as the buildings around us changed and new shops opened up. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every corner is used for something, whether it’s metal samples or old ledgers from years ago. The casting work keeps us pretty occupied from morning till evening. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We don't really have a showroom or anything fancy to look at. People just come in, tell us what they need, and we figure out how to get it done. The light in the office is okay in the mornings, but we rely on the overhead tubes most of the time. We’re just a small group of people working together. We don't use big words or have long meetings about nothing. Usually, we just sit around the main table and talk about the current jobs while having some coffee from the shop downstairs. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay on top of the orders coming in and keep things moving. It gets the job done.
