Neghizhi Fabrications

The shop is located at No. 2 in the Maruthi Complex, right on Arcot Road. If you know where the Vadapalani Post Office is, then you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without noticing. It’s a small space, mostly filled with raw materials and our welding equipment. Arcot Road gets really crowded at all hours, so we’re used to the noise of the buses and car horns outside while we work. We do fabrication here, mostly focusing on the practical stuff people need for their local buildings. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just our name on the door and the work we do. Most of the day is spent measuring metal or fixing up window frames. It gets a bit cramped inside with all the steel pieces, but we manage to get the projects finished eventually. We’ve been in this complex for a bit now, and most of the neighbors know our faces. We don’t really do ads or anything like that. Usually, someone just hears about us from a friend and stops by the shop to talk about a job. We sit down, look at what’s needed, and get a price sorted out. It’s just a few of us here making sure the welding is clean and the joints are tight. The floor is usually covered in some metal dust by the afternoon, but that’s just how it goes in this trade.
