Navaneetham Mill stores

Thambuchetty Street is always a bit of a mess with all the people and carts moving around. We are at number 174, right in the thick of things in Parrys. Navaneetham Mill stores has been around long enough that the shelves are starting to sag a little under the weight of all the parts. We keep all sorts of hardware and industrial bits that people need for their mills. It’s dark inside because we have so much stock piled up near the windows. Finding a specific bolt or a particular size of pulley might take a minute, but we usually know which pile it's buried under. We don't use a computer for everything; sometimes the old ledger is just faster. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving on those hot afternoons when the street outside is baking. Customers come in with a broken part and we try to find them a match. It’s mostly just talk about the weather and how business is going while we look for what they need. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Parrys, just a reliable one where you can actually find someone who knows what a gasket is. It’s a lot of dust and heavy lifting, but that’s just how a mill store is supposed to be. We stay open late sometimes if a regular customer is in a bind.
