Mr. R. Davis Sekar Fca (Chartered Accountant)

My office is in Room 212 of the Shajie Guest House on Akbar Shahib Street. It’s a busy part of Triplicane, and the guest house vibe makes it a bit different from your typical accounting firm. Being a chartered accountant here means I see a lot of different people coming through the doors. The room is small but it has everything I need to get the job done. There are books on tax law lining the shelves and a computer that has seen better days but still works fine. I spend most of my time here going through receipts and filling out forms for people who don't have the time or the patience for it. It can get a bit noisy outside on the street, especially in the afternoons, but I've gotten used to it over the years. I don't have a big staff or a fancy lobby. It's just me and occasionally some help when things get really swamped. I like the independence of working this way. People know they can just come up to the second floor and find me. It’s not a polished corporate environment, but it’s practical and it works for the people in this neighborhood. I've been doing this for a long time now. Every day is a bit different, depending on whose books I’m looking at. I just try to keep things simple and stay on top of the paperwork.
