234 Universal Door

Our shop 234 Universal Door is at No. 23 on the Teachers Colony Main Road. We are right by the G. R Kalyana Mahal in the Kodungaiyur area. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of people moving around. We deal with all kinds of doors for houses and buildings. The shop is filled with different frames and panels leaning against the walls. It can get a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of new stock arrive. We spend our time showing people the different wood grains or the way a handle fits. It is not a fancy place but it gets the job done. People usually stop by because they are fixing up an old house or building a new one nearby. We know most of the neighbors and the other shop owners on the street. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for delivery trucks to pull in but we figure it out. We don't do much advertising because most folks just see us when they are passing by or hear about us from someone else in the colony. The hinges and the wood smell is what you notice first when you walk in. We stay open late sometimes if there is a lot to get through. It is a steady business and we like being part of this part of town.
