Metcon Machines & Moulds is based over in Manapakkam, specifically at 2/279, Indira Nagar. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main city, which we like. The building is simple and we use most of the space for the actual manufacturing of moulds and machine parts. Most mornings start with checking the schedules and making sure the raw materials are ready. There’s a lot of precision involved in what we do, so even though the place looks like a typical workshop, we have to be careful. The floors are concrete and we keep the tools organized as best as we can. Being in Indira Nagar means we have some regulars who stop by, and we know the delivery drivers by name. It isn't a high-rise office with glass walls. It’s a place where things are actually made. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. We have a small crew and everyone knows their role. We don't spend much time on meetings; we’d rather be on the floor seeing how the moulds are turning out. The air smells like metal and coolant most of the time. It’s a steady life here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our little corner remains the same. We just keep our heads down and work on the orders that come through the door every week.
