Metal Needs

We’ve got our little place called Metal Needs over at Plot No. 14, Meenambal, 1St Cross Street. It’s inside the Sivam Enclave area in West Tambaram. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which we like. We deal with whatever metal people need for their small projects or repairs. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stay organized, or we’d never find anything. There are boxes stacked up to the ceiling in some parts. We don't have a receptionist, so if we're in the back, you might have to shout a bit to get our attention. Most of the day is spent cutting pieces to size or checking what we have left in the bins. It’s just practical, everyday work. We don't bother with fancy uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable and doesn't mind a bit of rust. The neighbors in Sivam Enclave are good people. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the narrow street, but we usually help them out. We’ve been in West Tambaram for a while and have seen a lot of houses go up nearby. It’s nice to know we helped out with some of the materials. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our job and go home to our families. It’s a small operation, but it works for us.
