Metal India

If you ever walk down Devaraja Mudali Street, you know how crowded and narrow it can be. We are at number 8 and it is a small spot right in the middle of all that chaos. Metal India is basically a place filled with different kinds of metal pieces and sheets. There is hardly any room to move sometimes because we have to stack things up high to fit it all in. The street outside is always full of people carrying loads and carts clicking over the pavement. It is one of those old parts of the city where everything is packed together. We do not have a fancy showroom or even much of a sign. Most people just know we are here. The air is thick and there is always a lot of shouting from the street vendors nearby. We spend our days measuring and cutting or just moving stock around for customers who manage to squeeze into the shop. It is a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together but we have a few bright bulbs hanging from the ceiling. We have been here a long time and the walls are a bit scuffed up from all the metal moving in and out. It is a simple way of doing business but it is what we know. The heat in the summer makes the metal hot to touch.
