Metal Fab Industry

Metal Fab Industry is situated in the New Tiny Sector of the Ambattur Industrial Estate, specifically at 208 Park Road. Ambattur is a huge place, and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the sector numbers. Our workshop is right in the middle of all the noise and activity. There is always someone welding or grinding something nearby. We do a lot of fabrication work, which basically means we spend our time cutting, bending, and putting metal pieces together. It’s dirty work and our clothes always have some grease on them by lunchtime. We’ve got some old machines that we’ve maintained ourselves over the years. They aren't the newest models, but they get the job done just fine. The heat in the shed can get pretty intense during the afternoons, so we usually take a longer break when the sun is at its peak. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just take the drawings or instructions people give us and try to make the parts correctly. If something isn't right, we fix it. It is as simple as that. There are plenty of other shops around us doing similar things, so we often borrow tools or help each other out when someone is short-handed. It’s a good place to work if you don't mind the noise and the hard work.
