You can find us at 44/5, Ekambareswarar Agraharam. It is one of those streets that feels like it’s been there forever. Metal & Metalwares isn't a new name in this neighborhood. We have been selling various metal items for a long time. The shop is tucked away and filled to the ceiling with all sorts of things. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for because there is so much stuff packed in. It is a bit of a maze, but we know where everything is. The area is quite traditional, and we like that. It has a different pace compared to the newer parts of the city. We don't use much technology here, just the basics to keep track of sales. Most of our regulars are people who have been coming to us for years. They know we don't do flashy displays. We just have the metalwares they need for their homes or small businesses. The street gets narrow and it’s hard for big vehicles to get through, so we do a lot of unloading by hand. It’s hard work, but it keeps us moving. We keep the doors open from morning until the sun goes down. It’s a quiet, steady life here at the shop, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep things simple.
