Mariamman Steel

Mariamman Steel is located at No. 60 on MTH Road in Mannurpet. It’s a busy stretch of road and we have been operating out of this spot for quite some time. The area is pretty industrial, so there’s always a lot of activity with trucks moving in and out. Inside our gate, we mostly deal with steel products and making sure they get to where they need to go. It’s dusty work and the floor is usually covered in scrap or shavings, but that’s expected in this line of business. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or sitting in air-conditioned offices. Instead, we’re usually out on the floor or near the entrance checking the loads. The sun hits the metal roof hard in the afternoon, making it pretty warm, but we have our fans going. We know most of the other shop owners around Mannurpet, so it feels like a small community even though it's a loud one. We just handle the steel, load it up, and move on to the next task. Sometimes the traffic on MTH Road makes it tricky for the big trucks to turn in, but we manage. There isn't anything complicated about how we run things. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a basic steel yard run by people who know the material and the neighborhood. We focus on the daily tasks and keeping the yard organized enough to work.
