We are located at 80 Thambu Chetty Street, right on the 3rd floor. Map Shipping & Co. has been operating out of this spot for quite a bit of time now. If you’re looking for us, our post box is No. 1224. The building is one of those older ones that has seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Down on the street, it’s always crowded and noisy, but once you get up to the third floor, it gets a little quieter, though the fans are always humming. We handle a lot of the day-to-day shipping tasks that people don't really think about until they need something moved. It’s mostly just a group of us sitting at desks, making phone calls, and checking schedules. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. It’s a practical space for practical work. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, and we spend the afternoon sorting through stacks of forms. That’s just the nature of the shipping business. We’ve got our routine down pretty well. Most of us live nearby or have been commuting here so long we know every shortcut in the area. It’s not a complicated setup, just an office where we get things done. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go without too much fuss or delay. It is just steady work in an old part of town.
