The yard is located at Number 33 in Coromandal Town, right in the heart of the Ambattur Industrial Estate within the Sidco area. It is a place where you definitely want to wear sturdy boots because there is heavy steel everywhere. We deal with all sorts of metal sections, beams, and rods. The crane is usually moving something around, and the sound of metal hitting metal is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. It gets dusty, especially when the trucks are coming in and out to load up. We spend a lot of time out in the heat measuring things and making sure the counts are right. There is a small office on-site, but we are rarely in it for long. Most of the work happens on the floor or by the loading bays. The guys here are used to the heavy lifting. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that because steel is steel, and people just want to know we have what they need in stock. Sometimes the rains make the ground a bit muddy, but we keep going anyway. It is a tough environment, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a flatbed truck leave with a full load. Mahaveer Steel Traers is just a local business doing what we know how to do. We don't talk much about ourselves—we just get the steel moved and keep the yard running.
