Our place is at 40, Ekambareshwar Agraharam, right in the heart of Park Town. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how narrow the streets are and how much is going on at once. We deal in different kinds of metals, mostly sheets and rods that people use for building stuff or making smaller parts. It is a very loud environment because there is always someone loading a truck or moving heavy metal pieces across the floor. The smell of iron and dust is just part of the job here. We have been around for quite a while, and the building itself shows its age, but it works for what we do. We don't have a showroom with fancy displays. It’s just a warehouse style setup where everything is stacked where we can find it quickly. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of workers handling the heavy lifting. We see a lot of regular contractors and small workshop owners who come in looking for specific sizes. Sometimes we have to tell them to wait a day if the stock is coming from the main yard. It’s a busy life in Park Town. By the time we close up in the evening, we are usually pretty tired and covered in a bit of grime. But that is the nature of the metal trade. We keep it straightforward and don't try to be anything we aren't.
