We are over at Flat No 19 on the third floor of the Meenakshi apartments. It’s No 63 on Muthuvel Street here in Chennai. MADRAS INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED has been operating out of this spot for a while. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a view, but mostly we are just focused on the industrial side of things. It’s a lot of technical talk and looking at equipment specs in our office. We have a lot of manuals and technical drawings stacked up on the shelves. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Chennai is a big city and there is a lot of industry happening all the time. We try to keep up with it. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. Our days are filled with phone calls to clients and trying to source specific parts or components. It can be a bit stressful when a machine isn't working right or a part is hard to find, but we enjoy the challenge. We aren't a massive corporation with a huge marketing budget. We are just a group of people who understand industrial tech and how it works in the real world. We’ve been around this part of the city long enough to know where to get things and who to talk to. It’s practical work for practical people.
