You can find us at Flat A/3, 99 Harington Road in Chetput. It’s a bit of a different setup because we are in a residential-style building. Madan Lal Steels isn't a big factory or a noisy workshop. It’s more of an office where we coordinate everything. The area of Chetput is usually busy with cars and people going to work. Being in a flat means it’s a bit quieter than a market, which helps when we are on the phone trying to track shipments. We have a few desks squeezed into the rooms and piles of papers regarding steel grades and delivery notes. It feels more like a home than a business sometimes. We’ve been here at number 99 for years, so the security guards and the neighbors all know us. We don't have a big showroom. If someone wants to see the steel, we usually talk about the technical details here and then sort it out from the yard elsewhere. It’s a simple way of working. We drink a lot of coffee and stay late most evenings to finish the paperwork. The windows look out over the road, and we see the city change as the day goes on. It’s not a fancy corporate setup, just a practical space where we get the daily business of steel trading done without much fuss. We've stayed in this flat because it's comfortable and everyone knows where to find us.
