MACHINE TOOLS TRADERS (MADRAS)

We’ve been based in Armenian Street for a very long time now. You can find Machine Tools Traders (Madras) at Kalyani House, which is located at New No 54 and 91. This part of the city is always full of life, being so close to the old port and the busy markets in Chennai. Outside, it’s a constant roar of traffic and people, but inside our doors, it’s all about heavy hardware and machine tools. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry since we first opened our doors. We still use the post box number 1260 for our official mail, which feels like a bit of history. The office is not a modern glass building. It’s an older space with high ceilings and plenty of character. We don't really do the corporate style of business. We prefer to sit down and talk with our customers about what they actually need for their workshops. People travel from all over Tamil Nadu to find specific parts here. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around the warehouse area. The traffic on Armenian Street is a nightmare sometimes, but we’ve learned to work around it over the years. We keep things simple here. We provide the tools, handle the shipping, and try to be as helpful as possible without any unnecessary talk. It is a steady way of life that has served us well.
