We’ve been at No: 17, Damodaran Street in T. Nagar for as long as I can remember. This part of Chennai is always moving, and Damodaran Street is no different. It’s narrow, and parking is a nightmare, so most of us just take the bus or walk. The building is an old one, with those heavy wooden doors and a bit of a musty smell in the rainy season. Louis started this whole thing years ago, and now his sons are the ones running the show, though we all feel like part of the family. We don't have a big HR department or a marketing team. We just have a few of us who know the business inside and out. The desks are a bit scratched, and the filing cabinets are overflowing, but we know where everything is. We spend our days on the phone or typing away on keyboards that have seen better days. When customers come by, they usually stay for a bit to chat about the weather or the traffic. It’s a friendly vibe. We don't wear suits or anything like that, just regular clothes that are comfortable for the heat. Sometimes we get lunch from the mess down the street. It’s a simple setup. We do our work, help the people who need us, and try to keep things moving. There’s no big secret to how we do things; we just show up and do the work.
