Lotus Hospitals India Limited is found at H NO 18 on Alagiri Nagar 6th Street in Vadapalani. Being in Chennai, the weather is almost always hot, so the fans are always spinning inside. This street is one of those typical ones in Vadapalani where there is always something going on. Our building isn't the newest on the block, but it serves its purpose. Inside, you’ll find the usual hospital smell of cleaning fluids and medicine. There are benches in the hallway for people to sit. Sometimes the wait is short and sometimes it’s a bit longer depending on how many people showed up that morning. The nurses and the desk staff stay busy with paperwork and talking to families. We have several floors, and the stairs get a lot of use. The elevator is there but it’s small. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a couple of times this year, which is just how it goes with older buildings in this part of town. The staff lunchroom is small, but it’s where everyone catches up. We see people from all over the neighborhood. It’s a busy spot near the main parts of Vadapalani, so it’s easy to find if you know the landmark of the 6th street. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything, just the usual scrubs and white coats you see everywhere. It’s a functional place where the focus is just on the daily tasks at hand.
