Lotus Green Market

Lotus Green Market is located at No:51/2 on Chendurpuram Main Road in Kattupakkam. It’s a busy road, so there’s always something going on outside our doors. We set up this market to provide the local area with their daily needs without them having to travel too far. We have rows of vegetables and fruits, and we try to keep them as fresh as possible. Sometimes the delivery arrives late and we’re still putting things out when the first customers arrive. That’s just how it is with fresh produce. The floor gets a bit sandy because people come in from the street, but we sweep it when we can. We’ve got a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from stocking shelves to working the counter. It’s a very local vibe here. We know which neighbors like which type of greens. We don't use any fancy lighting to make the food look better than it is; what you see is what you get. The shop is a decent size, but it feels smaller when we have a big shipment of rice bags sitting in the aisle. We’ve been part of the Kattupakkam community for a good bit now. People stop by on their way home from work to grab something for dinner. It’s a simple, reliable place for the people living nearby on Chendurpuram Main Road and we try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can.
