We’re tucked away in Thiruvanmiyur, specifically at 35, 7th Street in the V S I Estate, Phase II. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it’s not the quietest place to work, but we like it here. The office is where we handle all the housing stuff. Building houses takes a lot more time than people think, and there’s always some sort of delay with materials or the weather. We’ve got stacks of folders on the shelves and a few models of houses that we’ve built over the years. It’s a lot of practical work. I spend a lot of my time on the phone with contractors or checking on the progress of a site. We don't try to be something we're not. We just build houses where people can live their lives. It's not about being flashy; it's about making sure the roof doesn't leak and the walls are straight. Some days are frustrating when things don't go to plan, but that's just the nature of construction. We’ve been around this part of Chennai for a long time, so we’ve seen the city grow up around us. It’s nice to drive past a place we finished years ago and see people living there. We’re just a local business trying to do a decent job for our neighbors. Nothing more, nothing less. We usually have a bit of a lunch break at the small shop down the road.
