L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering

Working out here at Kattupalli Village for L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is definitely different from being in the middle of a big city. We are situated at No;10, and the area is pretty quiet except for the noise from our site. Poneri Talk is the general area, and it takes a bit of a drive to get out here every morning. Most of us arrive early before the sun gets too high because it gets really hot out in the open. We handle a lot of heavy stuff and technical drawings all day long. The office is more like a temporary setup with a lot of dust from the construction around us. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit; it’s more about boots and hard hats. We spend a lot of time checking on the equipment and making sure the pipes are where they should be. Sometimes the local goats from the village wander near the fence, which is a bit funny to see. There is a lot of waiting for deliveries to show up on the dusty roads. We eat our lunch together in a small shaded area when we can find the time. It is hard work, and the days feel long when there is a deadline coming up. We just focus on getting the tasks done so we can head home. It is a massive project, but to us, it’s just our daily job in the village.
