L & T

Our office is located at Plot No. 14B on First Cross Street in Padmavathi Nagar, which is over in Selaiyur, Chennai. It’s a decent spot, though finding the right cross street can be a bit tricky for people who aren't from around here. We are an L & T office, focusing on the work that needs to be done in this part of Tamil Nadu. The building is just a standard place where we keep our equipment and paperwork. It’s not a high-rise. We like it that way because it’s easier to manage. Every morning we get started with the usual list of things to do for the various construction and engineering projects we’re involved in. Selaiyur has grown a lot lately, so there’s always construction noise nearby, which fits what we do. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting around desks covered in drawings and schedules. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just want to make sure the jobs get finished without too many problems. Sometimes the rain in Chennai messes with our schedules, but we just adjust and keep going. We know the local shops and the people around Padmavathi Nagar pretty well by now. It’s a straightforward operation. We come in, we work, and we go home, trying to keep everything running smoothly in the middle of all the city chaos. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound but it works.
