Kwality Brright Steel Alloy

Our shop is located in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. The address is New No. 25, though some people still know it by the old number, 137. It is a busy industrial hub and we fit right in with the other metal shops around here. We work with bright steel alloys, which mostly means we do a lot of drawing and finishing to get the metal looking right and meeting the specific sizes needed for different jobs. The machines we use are old but they still work fine if you treat them right and keep them greased. We spend a lot of time oiling them and making sure they don't seize up during a shift. The floor is usually slippery with coolant and oil, so you have to watch your step when you walk through the workshop. We aren't a big corporation with many layers of management. It is just us workers and a couple of people handling the logs and orders. We get a lot of regular customers from around Chennai who need specific steel types for their own projects. The work is loud and repetitive, but there is a certain satisfaction when a batch of steel comes out looking clean and straight. We stay pretty busy throughout the week. Sometimes we have to work through the weekend if a big shipment is due for a customer. It’s just how things go in Ambattur. We have been here for a good number of years and we plan to stay put.
